Karthik and Jaffer React First to the Six-Wicket Haul in the Asia Cup 2023 Final

In the Asia Cup 2023 final, Mohammed Siraj delivered a stunning six-wicket spell that destroyed Sri Lanka. Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka, decided to bat first after winning the toss, but his choice backfired dramatically when Siraj startled the Sri Lankan batting order with his four wickets in one over.

Siraj dismissed Pathum Nissanka with two runs, Sadeera Samarawickrama with a duck, Charith Asalanka with a duck, and Dhanjaya de Silva with four runs in the fourth over of the Sri Lankan inning.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-188518″ src=”×500.png” alt=” priyanka chopra gives nick jonas a hug and a kiss at an event video goes viral moh” width=”1482″ height=”988″ srcset=”×500.png 750w,×683.png 1024w,×512.png 768w,×100.png 150w, 1200w” sizes=”(max-width: 1482px) 100vw, 1482px” title=”Karthik and Jaffer React First to the Six-Wicket Haul in the Asia Cup 2023 Final 9″>

As Sri Lanka fell from 8/2 to 12/6, their skipper Dasun Shanaka was also out for a duck in the next over.Siraj took his five wickets in only 16 balls, becoming him the quickest Indian to ever record a five-wicket haul in an ODI.

After dismissing Kusal Mendis for 17, Siraj achieved his first six-wicket haul in his career. Wasim Jaffer and Dinesh Karthik, among other former Indian cricketers, praised the 29-year-old in social media messages. The former Indian cricketers were pleased by the six wickets in only 5.2 overs.

The Sri Lankan hitters were stunned by Siraj’s record performances and had no clue how to handle the Indian bowler.

By striking Kusal Perera for a duck earlier in the top match, Jasprit Bumrah gave India the ideal start. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya bowled Dunith Wellalage on 8, reducing Sri Lanka to 40/8.
