Javed Akhtar’s Response to Shabana Azmi’s Kiss With Dharmendra

<p>Shabana Azmi has spoken up on the much-discussed kissing scene in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani after Dharmendra and Karan Johar.The lip-locking scene between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt movie surprised the audience. Shabana portrays Dharmendra’s long-lost sweetheart in the movie, who meets him again years later. The Dharmendra and Shabana kissing scene has become a major topic of debate online. <p>In an interview, Shabana said, “When we perform the kiss, everyone laugh and clap. It was never a problem when filming. True, I haven’t done a lot of on-screen kissing in the past. But with a guy like Dharmendra, who wouldn’t want to kiss him?</p>
<p>Javed Akhtar wasn’t “bothered” by Shabana’s kiss with Dharmendra, Shabana said. “My raucous behavior was what disturbed him. I cheered, shouted, whistled, and applauded constantly throughout the movie. ‘I don’t know this lady seated next to me,’ he was thinking. I became irrationally excited.</p>
<p>Earlier, Dharmendra discussed his kissing moment with Shabana in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha. “I’ve heard that Shabana and I astonished the crowd with the kissing moment, and they even cheered for it. It probably had an effect since people weren’t prepared for it and it arrived unexpectedly. The last time I performed a kissing scene was with Nafisa Ali in Life in a Metro, and at the time, it was well received, Dharmendra said us.</p>
